Abortion is always wrong.

Last week was The March for life in Washington DC. We don't have anything like it here so I wanted to do a post about it here.

Here is a youtube video of people marching past:

So many people standing up for the most innocent of all. Life really is precious and should be protected by all.

Most people I know, don't support abortion except they say when a women has been raped.

I came across a link today at Abba's little girl.

Pregnant by rape.

These stories are heart-wrenching.

Someone also commented at Patty's blog that allowing a women to have an abortion after rape is aiding and abetting the rapist and taking away the evidence.

A story about life.

A while ago, I came across this young girl speaking out against abortion.

In 2008, Victoria passed a new abortion law. This abortion law allowed:

  • Abortion allowed right up to birth.
  • Partial birth abortion allowed
  • doctors freedom of conscious denied.
  • no independent counselling provided.
  • Pain relief not required.

Many Victorians don't realise just how horrific this bill is.

Please pass the message out. We need to let people know just how horrific this bill is.

Passing out the word.

Precious Treasures: Today we march, tomorrow we vote.

I just want to give this march that happened in Victoria a bit more exposure since the msm ignored it.

What a crazy world we live in.

I belong to a yahoo group for South Australian Home Schoolers.

One of the members bought to our attention the two bills that are about to be passed in Australia will make it illegal for midwives to attend home births and will face fines up to $30000.

Now just before I go on, I have never had a home birth and would probably never have one. All my labours have been long and hard. I don't dilate well and have needed intervention nearly every time.

That said though I do believe a women should have a choice in which setting she gives birth to her child. If a women wants to give birth at home, she should be allowed to.

This is taking away true freedom. If we can give a women the "freedom" to abort her baby why can't she have the freedom to choose where to give birth.

I am signing The petition against this and urge all other Australians to do so too.

God is not pro Choice.

Recently I read a post where a nun was putting forward the idea that God is pro choice.

I was astounded that anyone would be able to believe anything like this.

Michael Voris has some pretty strong things to say to Sr. Arlene Welling and I support him 100% in everything he says.

This program is from RealCatholicTV.com

Edit to add, since posting this, I have come across This article saying that Sr. Arlene Welling is sorry for what she said. I hope this is true.

It started out a good day.

This morning I got an email from a regular reader here telling me about an online support group for parents of children with type one diabetes. It is a Catholic group so I am super happy to find other like minded mothers to support and chat with that have the same morals and values as I do.

As the day went on, I watched the election with baited breath. When I realized Obama had won, I was shocked. I really didn't think that Americans would vote for someone that is so extremely pro abortion and anti life.

My heart is breaking for all the children that lives are threatened because of laws that could pass under Obama. I am also frightened for all the children that are going to be aborted because they have some disability and they are told their child will be a huge burden on society.

Upon reflection of the consequences of abortion, I want to do all I can to encourage mothers and fathers of special needs children to accept their special calling because I truly believe if you reject this child and the trials that come with him/her, you reject Gods sanctifying grace.

I haven't ever had an experience of been told that my child in the womb would be disabled or need extra care so I don't know what that is like, but I did experience heartbreak when Tom was diagnosed with diabetes. I was angry and felt deserted by God. I kept on asking why us and feeling like I had done something wrong to deserve this. I look back now though and see that without this diagnosis and without diabetes, God would not have revealed himself and his great love for us to me. I also realized that as much as I would like to have great control over my life, God is really the one I should rely on instead of myself.

God really does reveal himself to those that suffer. We need to suffer to get to heaven. There is no avoiding suffering in this life. It is full of sin and sin brings suffering.

Our world has made so many technological advances and become so self reliant that it is much easier for us to reject God and not rely on him. Because we don't rely on God, we try and control everything. When everything is reliant on us, we do all we can to avoid any kind of suffering even kill the unborn.

One thing I have seen happen since abortion has become so widely accepted is the true dignity of the child has lessened. A child in the womb is seen as something rather than someone. A baby can be made in a test tube and put inside a mother and they can be ripped out and apart if they are anything less than perfect. Embryos are frozen till a couple can decide what to do with them and when they are not needed anymore they are thrown out or used to try and cure some disease.

Because it is possible for this to happen with babies in the womb, it can also happen with any group of people. The next step is the elderly. After that the disabled. After that a person that is in a car accident and needs too much care to live. If we reject looking after the most vunerable, we reject God and our sanctification.

Even though Obama is President Elect of the USA tonight, I urge all of you to pray. Pray for those that are deceived and think they are in control. Pray for the judges and politicians that will pass laws that take away the dignity of any human person. Most of all, pray for mothers and fathers of special needs children. Do all you can to support them in their trials both in practical ways and prayer.

Prayer is the only way we can win the battle for life.
Therese.

Abortion is a form of Terrorism.

This is an essay my son Daniel wrote against abortion.

ABORTION IS A FORM OF TERRORISM

Do you support abortion? Now ask yourself, do you support killing babies? The medical definition of abortion is “the removal of a fetus from the uterus.” It is a scientific fact that the foetus is more than a bundle of living cells, it is unique human life. In removing the child from the uterus we are killing it, killing human life, killing a child.

The right to life is one of the most basic and important rights that we have as human beings. Yet we believe we have the right to take it away from these young and innocent developing children. Why do we talk about them as some thing that we can treat as property?

Some heartless people would argue that it is better to allow abortions than have “unwanted” children in the world. There is no value whatsoever to not existing, it is just nothing. Life has value in and of itself. In accepting abortion we are accepting the value of no life. This is a form of selfish thinking because we are the only ones that experience the so called “benefit”. But what is the benefit of no life? Every person contributes to society, the unborn child can only contribute if it is born. The absence of this child is therefore a loss to all of society.

Abortion is a form of terrorism. It is human sacrifice to a false god of selfish individual choice. Life is like a tree, you plant the seed, nourish it and it will grow. Abortion is like planting the seed and letting the tree grow, and then when it is about to sprout fourth fruit chopping it down. Killing it. Giving it no chance to flourish.

Some “abortion terrorists” will argue that the foetus is not a child until it is able to feel pain. The majority of abortions occur between 8 to 12 weeks. When the foetus is a mere 8 weeks old, it is fully capable of feeling pain. If you poke a young infant with a pin you know what happens. She pulls away and opens her mouth to cry. If you poke an 8 week old foetus in the palm of his hand he pulls his hand away and opens his mouth to cry. In other words, changes in heart rate of a young foetus prove that intrauterine manipulations are painful to the child.

Other “abortion terrorists” argue that the foetus is not a person because it cannot think. Wrong! If a man was driving his car and had a horrible accident in which he was left in a vegetable state, unable to think, would this make him not a person? It is also clinically proven that a child recognises the voice patterns of his parents whilst inside the womb. Being able to recognise voice patterns represents the ability of the foetus to think.

In the year 2002, there was approximately 73,300 “human sacrifices” funded by private medical companies within Australia. This is 73,300 people that now cease to exist and are not given the chance to contribute to society. It is estimated that in the western world there are 2,100,000 abortions per year. This is a ridiculous amount of people that will never exist because of someone’s selfish motives.

There are many cases that make abortion seem like the best alternative, for example in the case of a woman being raped; some “abortion terrorists” would argue that it is not her child and that she has the choice whether to keep it or not. In been raped, the woman has already had her body violated. In turning to abortion, the operation is just another violation of her body. Why should the innocent child cease to exist because of someone else’s sins? This child has never done anything wrong yet he is the one that has to suffer the consequences for someone else’s wrong actions. Is that fair?

“Abortion terrorists” claim that because abortion is legal, it must be ok. Wrong! Many years ago, slavery also used to be legal, but was it morally right? Another way of looking at this is that it is legal for a man to sleep with another mans wife, but is it morally right? Abortion is morally wrong, it is a form of human sacrifice. It is time that society opens its eyes and puts a stop to this ridiculous act of terrorism.

Daniel

Victoria decriminalizes Abortion laws.

This makes me feel sick

As soon as I read that the bill looked like passing, Steve and I sat down and prayed the sorrowful mysteries of the rosary. Unfortunately the bill still passed.

Premier John Brumby said he was pleased the bill had passed and he believed they had done the right thing.

How sad that a Premier believes killing innocent little babies is the right thing to do.

We are on such a slippery slope.

Some doctor from Canada has come out and said Sarah Palin is a bad example having her child with down syndrome:

that greater public awareness of women making choices like Palin to complete a pregnancy and give birth to their genetically-abnormal baby could be detrimental and confusing to the women and their families.
“The worry is that this will have an implication for abortion issues in Canada.”

When someone starts saying this kind of life is unlivable and should be murdered, we are heading down a slippery slope. The next thing will be children with terminal illness can and should be killed by their parents. Even children from families that cannot cope with their children's special needs.

Abortion is murder.

Abortion bill passes lower house

Pray for Australians. How tragic they think that a women can choose to kill her own baby.

Mad World by Barack Obama.

I know that many of you have probably seen these all but today was the first time I have. I am sickened by the thought that some politicians think that aborted babies should not have basic medical care if they survive an abortion.

oxymoron of the week.

Catholics For Obama.

What a worry. How can one be Catholic and support a pro abortion candidate?

I don't think it is possible.

Pro abortion Politicians.

Yesterday I wrote to all the SA senators in support of the bill to terminate Medical funding for second trimester abortions.

Today I got my first two responses to my emails.

The first was an out of office auto reply from Cory Bernadi so I am unaware of his stance at this stage.

The second was from Senator Sarah Hanson-Young. She tells me that the Australian Greens support womens rights to control reproduction including the right to have access to safe and affordable abortions.

Well how politically correct The Australian Greens are.

In supporting a womens right to reproduction, The Australian Greens are supporting a mothers right to kill her own child. How sad. I will be praying for all in the Australian Greens party and all the politicians that support the killing of a child by their mother.

What a crazy world we live in.
