Small successes.

Faith and Family hosts Small Successes each week.

1. I can see a light at the end of the washing tunnel. I will always have washing but I won't be doing 6 loads each day for a while after this weekend.

2. I have completed all the paper work for Christopher to get a membership with diabetes SA and all the paper work for Centrelink. Since Christopher is under 10, I am eligible for a carer's allowance for his diabetes care. This should help us nicely.

3. This week has been full of doctors appointments and meetings with Christopher's teachers for kindy but still we have managed to get all the home school work done that we needed to.

Glad to hear that Christopher will get his membership and that it will help you out.
Sending Blessings to you for the rest of the week.

Hi Therese,
Six loads of washing is a LOT of washing. We would only do a little more than that for a week. :P

How is Christopher's diabetes, now? Glad that you managed to get the carer's allowance for Christopher.

Hi Jillian,

6 loads is a lot. I usually don't have that many.

If I am organised and on top of the washing, I wash two loads each morning and hang them, then Brigette does another two loads when she gets home from school.

Last week Brigette wasn't well so the washing fell behind. I had so many dirty clothes and linen that I ended up putting it into plastic garbage bags so that it didn't look so overwhelming.

I think by the end of the weekend, I should have it back to normal.

The carer's allowance is a blessing. It wasn't on the list when Tom was first diagnosed and I had to fight our doctor to fill in some forms to get it.

Oh I nearly forgot, Christopher is going really well. The insulin has made a big difference to the way he feels and he is back to his happy placid self. We have pretty good control over his diabetes since he is in a honeymoon phase still. That is the advantage of catching it early.

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
