How Amazing! I didn't know where this was going ... many Catholics do not SHOW our faith to others .. for me, it was because I was raised Pentecostal and the whispers and rumblings I heard about Catholicism instilled a "fear" of the "strang rituals" and adorations and reverences.

I married a Catholic in 1980 and began going to Mass with him and his family. I was drawn from within my heart as I learned more about our Church, to understand what rituals meant, the many ways the Mass prays, a whole church, together, and the deep spiritual beliefs that I found were solid and supportive of the Scriptures.

I love The Church and the first time I brought my Rosary out "in public" was at my Granny's deathbed in March 2003. I asked others in the room, "do you mind if I pray my Rosary for Granny?" All nodded affirmation, but most left the room. I prayed my Rosary, for Granny, for the love I have for her, and it was with tears of joy, love and yet sadness in losing her.

Point: I proudly display a rosary hanging on my rearview mirror in my car and I cannot tell you how many times I get into that car and I grasp the Crucifix and pray, the times I turn down the radio and pray all the way to where I am going and again on the trip back home.

I am PROUD to be CATHOLIC and I want the world to see how beautiful our Faith is and what a difference is has made in my life.

Happy Mother's Day, dear Therese. May the Lord's Love shine upon you and yours this day and always,

Abbey

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
