A Catholic Notebook: The 12 Days of Christmas Reminders

What are the 12 days of Christmas about?

Soutenus has a great post with details of what each day represents.

I was listening to ABC radio the other night and they were talking about this too :D That and Mary McKillope. I thought it very sad though when other Christians got on to the talkback and said some negative comments about the praying to saints :( I just felt it so mean and really the most inappropriate time to make such comments. The announcer was really good though. he made the comment if God so disagreed with the praying to saints then why did he grant the miracles! Acceptance is so much nicer than tolerance! If Christians can't even get along and accept each other, what hope is there for our world? Sorry to be on such a sad note. I so admire people who can stay unwavered in their faith even when the arrows are fired at them. My faith is pretty shaky these days after a pretty nasty episode earlier in the year. Another case of a Christian judging anothers faith and tearing it to pieces. It has left me unsure of what I believe anymore.

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
