I was actually going to post about Joseph's feast day yesterday but was way too tired last night so I have left it till now.
On Monday, it was the Feast of St. Joseph. St. Joseph has been one of my favourite saints to go to for prayers. I am always asking him to pray for us. I believe it was through his intercession that we found our house and Steve got his job here.
I think every time I was pregnant, I suggested Joseph for a boy. When I was pregnant with Joseph and we found out he was a boy, I said straight away to Steve that I wanted to call him Joseph Benedict. I kept on calling him Joseph all through the pregnancy and was pretty confident that by the end of it, Steve would agree.
When my waters broke and we were driving to the hospital, Steve said, he wanted to have James for the middle name. I said that was fine. I just wanted my Joseph.
So for Joseph's feast day, we started with Mass. There was morning tea after and then on Monday night, Fr. Paul came around for tea. I baked Vanilla and Cream Cheese Pound Cakes for the feast. It was a great day.
Happy Feast day Joseph.
All about Therese, Steve, Daniel and Angelique, Sam and Jess, Madeline and Daniel, Brigette and Adriano, Tom, Amelia and Ryan, Christopher and Joseph. Come on in and share a cup of coffee and see what is happening in our lives.

All Saints Day.
I went into my archives tonight to see what I have shared in the past about All Saints.
I was surprised to find that I haven't done a post on All Saints. Our parish in Port Augusta is All Saints parish and since it is our feast day, I thought I would have posted on this before.
For our parish celebration tonight, we had mass followed by benediction with the litany of the saints.
After we shared Coffee and Cake.
Our Catholic faith is so full of good things. There is so much to learn from the Saints that have been here before us and when we celebrate their lives, we give glory to God for the work he has done in them.
All through the month of November, we will be praying for all the souls of the faithful departed. If there are any people in particular you would like us to pray for this month. let me know in the comment box.
All Holy Men and Women,
Pray for us.

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
