triple digits today.

Today is going to be 38 here. That is over 100 in Fahrenheit. A bit of a surprise since we have been having beautiful weather. Yesterday was perfect. It was 28 and we had a slight breeze. I really should have finished of the washing but was busy with other things. Today will be too hot to go out and hang it out so I will wash it and get Sam to hang it all tonight.

Today Amelia is having a psych assessment. She is having a lot of trouble grasping literacy concepts. We are having her assessed to see if she has any thing like dyslexia. We are also thinking about homeschooling both her and Tom next year. Amelia needs the one on one and because Tom is getting a pump he will need to program it every time he eats. It isn't something an 8 year old is really capable of so instead of going to school every lunch and recess I will do home school work with him.

Best of luck with Amelia's assessment. I'll pray that it goes well. God bless.

My brother has dyslexia. He described it as such. When he reads for more than a few minutes all the words on the page start 'swimming together' and he cannot understand one word.

He can read a bit in short bursts but he can only write his name..My mother paid for private tuition but back in those days noone knew about dyslexia...My brother was considered by many to be 'retarded'. He was not retarded and holds down a full time job. But his road has not been easy.

I hope Amelia will be able to receive guidance and to be able to understand this is nothing against her intelligence....And that doctors will be able to diagnose her correctly:).

I will keep Amelia and you all in my prayers:)

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
