Thankful Thursday.

It is the second week of the holidays here and I am thankful for so many things.

First, I am thankful for new quilts and covers to keep Christopher and Joseph warm this winter.

I am thankful for our quieter house and that my older three children are all living together.

I am thankful that Daniel has the opportunity to go to World Youth Day again.

I am thankful my new laundry. (pictures coming)

I am thankful that Steve and I still get out alone at least once a week. Today we had lunch together at Cafe Primo.

I am thankful for the strong wind that dried all our washing today.

I am thankful for bloglovin and been able to follow my favourite blogs.

What are you thankful for?

Therese.

Therese,

Andy and I make sure we get out alone at least once a week too. I remember the days when life was a blur as we looked after the needs of all the little ones, and we never had time to sit and talk. No babies now but I do have the opportunity to spend time with my best friend.

I'd be interested to hear where you go with Steve. Do you always go for lunch or coffee? Andy and I have got into the habit of eating out somewhere, but I'd like to do other things together. I suggested exercise, and in the summer we do go running together. But it's winter and running side by side on treadmills isn't quite the same!

God bless!

Iam deeply thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ for all the suffering He has allowed me to go through for the whole world, for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, and for those select few that are close to me.

Hi Sue,

Last year Steve and I spent one hour every Sunday walking. Our weather in Port Augusta is fine for that though. This year we haven't spent nearly as much time together walking and getting exercise. Maybe we will get into it a bit more since Sam and Madeline have moved out. Mostly though, we go out for coffee or dinner.

Hi Michele,

Thanks for the reminder that we need to be thankful for our suffering.

God bless you both.
Therese.

Hi Therese, a good topic, indeed!

Being able to be thankful in itself is worth being thankful for....and thankful I am for all the many blessings of family, a good marriage, and health, home, and purpose.

blessings!

Hi Ebeth,

So sorry I missed your comment. I must pay more attention to them.

Being thankful is indeed worth being thankful for. So many blessings in all our lives and so many times we forget to thank God and acknowledge all these things.

Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research.
