I'm looking forward to introducing the kids to CS Lewis! Have any read the book first, and what did they think?

Marilyn,

We started reading the magicians uncle at the beginning of the year. The children didn't really like it that much and when Trixie Belden arrived, we gave it up. They have seen The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I think they would be much more interested in reading these books than the Magicians Uncle.

My kid's didn't really like the Magicians Nephew that much either, they preferred the others in the series. I read somewhere that if you read them in the order that CS Lewis wrote them its better than reading them chronologically, so I always start with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

My kids always get wrapped in blankets for reading and watching stuff.
Avila said today that this was yet another great home ed advantage as she knows her friends don't get to do that at school. lol

Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
