Dr. Faustman's work.
Dr. Faustman is in the second stage of clinical trials to find a cure for type one diabetes. Many big companies and JDRF will not support Dr. Faustman so she has to rely on the donations of you and me. I have added a link to Dr. Faustman's lab in the sidebar. Any help you can give to Dr. Faustman would be great.

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Good for her. I wonder why finding funding is so hard.
It seems the more ethical the research the less money available sometimes.
I know of this woman! One of my dad's clients has two boys with type I diabetes and for a long time were huge supporters of JDRF. But once they found out about this dr., they stopped with with them and took their money (of which they have a lot) to support this doctor. I will see what else I can find out about her, and keep you updated. My dad is always in close contact with this woman. My understanding is that the medical community will not sponsor her because apparently the cure is from a very old medicine and there is no money to be made from it by the pharmaceutical companies - that's just what I've heard. Anyway, I'll keep you posted if/when I learn anything new.
Whoops! I meant to say my dad is in close contact with his clients, who are supporting this woman (even left JDRF because they wouldn't fund her!) Prayers for you and your boys (and the rest of your lovely gang!)
Just to add here; she is looking at this from the autoimmune pov which could have massive benefits for all autoimmune diseases including, I would like to hope, fibro.
I would love to see a cure for type 1. It worries me that our country is so broke they are muttering about insulin provision, just as J is stable.
