St Catherine of Siena and a word for the year.

Faithfulness.

After time in prayer and thinking about what I want to do this year, I have chosen St. Catherine of Siena as my saint for the year and faithfulness as my word.

I have chosen faithfulness because I want to be more faithful to God, my vocation as a mother and wife and all the things that God is calling me to.

It is my hope this year also to be a bit more faithful to blogging and following the bloggers that follow me. I do post a bit more at Facebook so that has limited my posting here but I want to do both this year.

Have you liked my facebook page?

I am posting photos of the renovations of the lounge room every day there. It is easy to upload them from my android tablet so do it regularly.

You can go here to like Aussie Coffee Shop on Facebook. If you don't have a facebook account, you should still be able to see the photos.

Here is the latest photo with the lounges and television cabinet moved back in.

I'm back.

Hi Everyone,

Been away for just over a month. I wanted to take a break and pray about social networks and where they all fit into my life.

I love blogging and keeping up with other people's blogs. I think that since Joseph was born though, life just seemed to busy to keep up with all the blogs I was before and I felt a bit torn between not posting enough or not reading other people's blogs enough.

Since I love it so much though, I do want to continue doing it. I also want to have more contact with friends that I have made through blogging and keep up with their news too.

After a month away, I have decided to try and post three times a week. This is not too big a commitment and gives me time to still keep up with other blogs.

I have also started a facebook page for my blog here:

http://www.facebook.com/AussieCoffeeShop

I will post links to all my posts and write updates about our family too.

Therese.

Googling your name.

Over the weekend, the children were entering their names into google to see what came up. There were many links that we knew about but also a couple that were a surprise.

Today I decided it would be fun to google my maiden name. From it, I came across an old class photo and some old girlfriends from my high school. I have added them on facebook. It was a trip down memory lane for me.

I also found someone that has the same name and lives in Australia. This was a huge surprise since my maiden name isn't all that popular. The person that has the same name as me is a Sr. of St. Joseph. Yet another surprise.

I am thinking of emailing her and seeing if we are related.

Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
