Hiatus.

Going to get some summer sewing done and a few other priorities in order. Going to stay off social networks for three weeks except for Sundays. Will keep up with blogs in my reader each weekend but probably won't leave any comments. Anyone that visits here will be in my prayers.

I'm back.

Hi Everyone,

Been away for just over a month. I wanted to take a break and pray about social networks and where they all fit into my life.

I love blogging and keeping up with other people's blogs. I think that since Joseph was born though, life just seemed to busy to keep up with all the blogs I was before and I felt a bit torn between not posting enough or not reading other people's blogs enough.

Since I love it so much though, I do want to continue doing it. I also want to have more contact with friends that I have made through blogging and keep up with their news too.

After a month away, I have decided to try and post three times a week. This is not too big a commitment and gives me time to still keep up with other blogs.

time for a break.

I am going to be off the internet for another short time. Life is just too demanding for me at the moment and I don't have the time to devote to my blog or to read other blogs. I am missing everyone but our family needs come first. I will be checking email each morning if anyone wants to contact me or ask for prayers for anything.

I also have this link to share with everyone. Steve has made a catechism game called Mario Catechism. He is looking for children to test it and give him feedback on what they think of it. It is still in the testing stage but if anyone is interested in playing it you can go here to download it. Yucky cold

I have been blowing my nose all day and have a horrible sore throat and cough. Going to be away for a couple of days.

Hey there.

I am still alive. We have been really busy though with friends staying and site seeing. Thursday life should be back to normal and I will have lots of photos to share.

Gone Fishing.

I have a lot to do this week so I am taking some time off blogging and staying off the internet. Be back on Sunday. I will still check my email if anyone needs or wants to get in touch with me.

Taking a break.

I watched this video last night:



It was a bit of a wake up to me.

It started me thinking, what am I prepared to do for the gospel? I realized that I am not really prepared to do very much at all. I feel quite comfortable in my life. I am happy but I also have a lot.

I started thinking about what I have and what would happen if I was forced to give it up? I think my faith is strong enough that if God took everything I held dear away, I would still believe in him. I may feel hurt and like he owes me something and wonder what the heck I had done wrong to deserve this.

Remember when I hurt my finger, I said to Steve, I am so bad at offering sacrifices. that I only offer them when I have too like a sore finger. I don't think God asks us to go around hurting ourselves but I know he wants us to offer things freely, not because circumstances dictate it.

There are many little sacrifices that I can offer. I can spend less time on computer. I can get up earlier and pray each morning. At the beginning of lent, I decided I wanted to cut my computer time back. I was going to spend a maximum of 1 hour a day reading blogs. It wasn't long and that 1 hour turned into 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour at night. Not long after that I started catching up with other blogs at lunch time and not getting off till it was time to get the school children. I just cannot do small. I have to have all or nothing. So I have decided to have nothing. I am going to give up the computer except for checking email in the evenings once the children are in bed.

I hope everyone has a blessed Holy Week and that everyone knows the joy that the Resurrection brings.
