A taste of spring.

Today was a beautiful day. The sun was shining and it was warm enough to get out the shorts and t shirts.

The temperature got to 22 (that is 77 for you American people}.

It was so warm that the younger children pulled out the pool and went for a swim. They spent a lot of the day playing outside.

Steve went and bought 6 new fruit trees. We have a pear, cherry, plumcott, nectarine, plum and almond. I cannot wait for them all to fruit. We already have an apricot, peach, two orange trees, a lemon tree and 4 different grape vines.

Steve dug holes in the ground and then ran a watering system to water all the trees. He ran out of parts so he wasn't able to finish it of today.

Here are the trees waiting to be planted.

Other good things to do on a sunny Saturday is mow the lawn (that really looks more like weeds but still looks good once it is mowed):

And put a little two year old in big boy undies. No wet undies today. I wonder if I can get him completely trained now.

I hope Christopher keeps up his dry undies streak. ;)

Enjoy all your wonderful new trees. Basically, the only fruit trees we have in MN are apples, pears, and cherry.

Thanks Judy. I think he will be in undies full time in a couple of months.

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
