Today we had a high of 47 Celsius. That is 114 Fahrenheit. I went outside around lunch time and the heat hit me like a brick wall. It was insanely hot out there.
By 6.00 the wind had come up and then out of no where came the rain.
The wind has cooled everything down a lot and it isn't unpleasant anymore.
Steve has been working outside all week. We are landscaping the backyard and putting up new gutters. He was glad to have the wind and rain this evening.
Tomorrow the high is going to be 37 Celsius. That is 98 Fahrenheit. It is Steve's last day of holidays and our anniversary. We will be going out for tea to the Golden Pearl Chinese Restaurant for tea to celebrate.
All about Therese, Steve, Daniel and Angelique, Sam and Jess, Madeline and Daniel, Brigette and Adriano, Tom, Amelia and Ryan, Christopher and Joseph. Come on in and share a cup of coffee and see what is happening in our lives.

It's so hard to imagine 114 degrees outside when it is so cold here! Wishing you a grand anniversary!!! Stay cool! Cathy
Happy Anniversary! May God bless you both- you are an inspiration for Catholic families everywhere.

Happy anniversary!!!!!
Oh my goodness that is way too hot.
I remember New Years day a couple of years ago it got up to 45C and I just couldn't cope.
We all put our bathers on & I filled the tub up with cold water so we could all take turns jumping in to cool down.
It was hot here too but I am sure it wasn't that hot! Happy Australia Day and wedding anniversary!
Happy Anniversary, Therese! And many more years of health and happiness in the Lord.
Blessings to you both on your anniversary! Love the Chinese food - yummy.
So, when you say "tea" would that translate as "dinner" here? :) Happy Anniversary to you both! God's Blessings!
Thanks everyone for your good wishes. It was a great day.
Shelly, our tea is the main evening meal. I thought it was called supper in the states but it may be called dinner.
