Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. I nursed a lady once whose diabetes was really hard to control. She would be 0 in the morning and 38, sometimes even 40 by late evening.
She loved lemon merange pie-but of course it came with the evening meal (if it was on the menu) and she was never allowed to have it.
I realised that every morning she had to have glucose in her tea-which she hated, so I checked with the docs and I was allowed to keep back a slice of pie for her and I would let her have it for breakfast with sugarless tea.
She loved it.
