Some ideas for our family room.

I have been looking around the net for pictures and ideas for our family room. These are a couple that I like.

This picture is from the site Uncluttered

The following pictures are all from Ikea Hacker.

What do you like?

I am a cupboard and tub girl. I like cupboards and tubs of stuff in them. I like spartan clean, so I love storage. I also like the bookcase up the top there - I like lots of squares. :)

Mrs Adept,

I think I would love the top bookshelf with all the tubs in each square.

I would love to have a room so organized, but my problem is that I can't look at any of them without seeing all the clutter that would result from not putting everything back where it goes. Some people are very good at keeping things organized and returning things back to their places, but I am not. Good luck with your project though.

Some of these are distinctly scarey in their minimalism. None of them have floral cloth, but at least the green room has patterns. I think you're obliged to go with that one then. But use florals okay!

PS Love the rug in the minimalist room - looks like dividing cells. Too cool by far.

lol Jeanne,

I need to meet you irl. You have the same sense of humour as me.

I can't think of a witty response, but I'd like that too. Mind you, I think I'm funnier in print than in real life...then people laugh more at me than with me. Always wondered why that was :)

I like the recessed shelving with baskets...think it makes things look neater. I like to cover up the clutter. ;)

I love look of the first room the most! They are all nice and organized, though, so I don't think you'll go wrong with any of them!

OH my goodness!
How exciting!
Love the pics...I've 'just' decided to definately try homeschooling - I've been teaching the eldest to read through LEM for the past 6mths, and am very scared about the whole h/s'ing thing, but hopefully the Holy spirit will guide me.
The pics have inspired me - love any type of organized room, esp bookshelves - you can't have enough!
All the pics are great.
I prefer shelves to tubs...tubs have greater risk of getting untidy.

Gina,

It is scary to decide to home school but I have never regretted doing it for one minute. I am sure you will be a great home schooling mother and I will be praying for you.

Suzy,

Thanks so much for the award.
