Therese:)
a BIG thanks for linking to us:D.
I have to admit I am SICK to death of the weight Nazi's and also watching these stick thin models who lets face facts most of them are on cocaine in order to STAY thin!
It is simply the WRONG message to send to our teens who all go through esteem issues. The message is..'if you are not a size 8-10 then you dont matter?!?'
I am 5ft 7" and a VERY happy size 18 and I intend to STAY that way! LOL!
Peace and blessings to you Therese:)

Thanks Marie.
I know that I want to encourage my girls to be happy with the way they are and not let these advertisements dictate to them what they need to be like to be happy. Happiness comes from liking yourself, not from amking yourself something that everyone else will like.
Exactly Therese! I agree wholeheartedly, but due to these awful magazines which focus on a womans 'weight' the subtle message to many teens is What they look like and NOT who they ARE.
What attracts men is NOT weight, but confidence. If a young lady or woman is self confidant it is THIS that men find MOST attractive...Most men are NOT attracted to women who are neurotic about their weight.
I mean I have read magazines where they now say that Marilyn Monroe is considered FAT, same with Jane Russel, and that Elle Mcpherson is considered too BIG for the catwalk? Elle too big? Oooh spare me the idiocy.
Sorry Therese for ranting but this subliminal message is affecting a LOT of women out there and making their lives, miserable.
Peace and blessings to you:)
Marie
As a man, I can say that the cocaine thin look on a woman just isn't all that attractive.
Secondly, I wouldn't say confidence is the most attractive, but holiness is the most attractive quality in a woman.
