Small Successes.

A weekly meme from Faith and Family live

1. Every night this week, we have started the dishes before tea and then the kitchen has been finished by 7.30 each night.

2. Preparation for Tom's first communion is going well. We read the weight of a Mass and have spoken about Jesus being truly present in the Eucharist.

3. Day one of insulin for Christopher has gone pretty smoothly. Fortunately we haven't had any hypo's and his sugar has stayed in range for the day except for just before afternoon tea and just before bed. I hope it continues to be so manageable.

I think these are all BIG! I struggle with #1 constantly - great job! And enjoy the process for teh First Holy Communicant - I so loved preparing our firstto receive Jesus. It was such a lovely time with him, and to renew my own desire to receive Him. Happy Mother's Day!

Greetings dear Friend. First, my most heartfelt thanks for your hugs, prayers and emails of support during a very difficult time. I love you so very much and feel so blessed by your friendship.

Second, my stepson's fiance has been on a pump for years. She has been diabetic since pre-teens and she does well, IF she watches her intake, which she sometimes does not, especially when they are out with friends. The pump is an amazing fete of technology .. it can be hidden, no shots, and it takes care of you with minimal upkeep. I pray for Tom's health and that he will do well with this device, and that his situation will improve or at least level out.

God bless,
Abbey

Darn, I meant CHRISTOPHER!

CONGRATULATIONS TOM on the prep for First Holy Communion. I remember mine: I'm a convert and was brought into the Church on Easter Sunday,1986. What a wonderful day that was. It forever changed my life.

Good job staying ahead of the dishes!!! I definitely need to work on that.

Abbey,

it is Tom on the pump. Christopher has just been diagnosed and only needs one injection a day so we aren't looking at a pump for him yet. Down the road I definitely will though.

Those are all three BIG successes, rather than small! :) I'm especially impressed with #1... dishes are my least favorite chore and I procrastinate!

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
