Brooke Greenberg.

I came across this your girl on Saturday. Brooke Greenberg is a 16 year old girl that hasn't aged. This has baffled doctors and she is said to be unique. There is no other known cases like her.

This you tube video is long but the parents and sisters of Brooke are such a wonderful example of accepting their daughter/sister for who she is that I wanted to post it. Please if you don't have time now to watch it, come back when you do. It is a worthwhile watch.

What an amazing girl and an amazing family. I would never have thought this possible. It just goes to show that really, we know so very little about God's created beings!

It's a beautiful story alright, but all that "Fountain of Youth" rubbish!

Anyway, she's a gorgeous little girl and the family seem really lovely.

What an amazing situation God has placed that girl in. It sounds like science, though, would love to exploit her for the elusive ever-youthful mystery she holds.

I saw this on the news a few years back. Very strange condition, but the child seems to be very happy.

This is fascinating,Therese. No matter what else God's role for her in our world (relative to all the scientific study about her being a "key" to aging), one thing is for sure -- she's a blessing to her family. And they're a blessing to her. Thanks for sharing this.

superb video. while i think they are loving and caring, i don't think brooke should be used for testing for the fountain of youth. i think she should live out her life like she is, happy and content. and leave it at that.

I totally agree about the fountain of youth. I really hope she doesn't end up being exploited because of this.

I was really touched though by the family and the way that accept her as she is.

Incredible...what more can I say?

I was touched by the love and commitment of her caring family. But wondered what would become of her as her parents and sisters aged.

Esther,

I thought the same thing. I suppose I hope that her sisters and their families will be around for her when her parents die.

What a wonderful family! Thanks for sharing this Therese!

The only problem I have with this is that, once again, we want to mess around with the natural order of things. We're supposed to get old and die. Do these doctors think they are going to find something to just completely stop us from aging?? I think we need to step back and ask if that's what is in God's plan. Her dad is right, we are all here for a reason, but we have to live within the means of His rules.

Aside from all that, the family really seems to love her and that is a blessing in and of itself.

Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research.
