Wordless Wednesday

Our Sturt Desert Pea plants.

They aren't as good this year as they were last year but I still love the red flower.

Love them. They always remind me of Magic Australia - Nuri Mass' book. Wish they grew where we live...

Jeanne,

We tried to grow them in Adelaide when we lived there and they just wouldn't grow. My husband has had a lot of success here with growing them. This is the second year we have had them in the front garden.

Those are beautiful! I don't believe we have any thing like that here! I loved seeing all the flowers while in Aust. & NZ...we had some but those were much larger!

Gorgeous, Therese. I'm curious to know what else you're currently growing to eat. And planting? Maybe for a future post? We've got a tiny vege patch and I've only got the broccoli and some beetroot this winter. Both experiments, and doing well.

Marilyn,

We have a very extensive garden now. I will do a post on what we have tonight. My husband has done all the hard work growing it and I cook it.

Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research.
