A simple Womens Daybook.


Outside my window... it looks like the day will be nice today. The sky is clear and blue but I think it will be another cold one.

I am thinking... that it is good to know that we need to watch Christopher's sugar levels.

From the learning rooms... we will make our Anzac biscuits today.

I am thankful for... our heater that we will soon need to put on.

From the kitchen... we are drinking lots of soup.

I am wearing... grey track pants and my favourite red jumper.

I am reading... Just finished Gangland to Promised land.

I am hoping... Christopher will cope with the changes he is about to go through.

I am creating... a new mothers rule after re reading the book.

I am praying... for Christopher especially.

Around the house... Tom woke early and has the TV on. Steve and Daniel are talking in the kitchen and I can hear the water running.

One of my favorite things... Nights at home with all the family.

A few plans for the rest of the week... finish off the shopping bags, reading the book the Weight of a Mass, paying the bills on payday, cooking some snack foods to freeze.

Simple Women's daybook.

Outside my window... it is late and dark. I am waiting to see if Tom's bsl will come down. It has been high most of the day.

I am thinking... about all the things I need to do tomorrow. We are getting the car serviced so I need to be up early.

From the learning rooms... another week off.

I am thankful for... my friends and family.

From the kitchen...not much after my oamc.

I am wearing... white capri's and a striped T Shirt.

I am reading... A mothers rule of life.

I am hoping... Tom will have a good check up this Thursday.

I am creating... a new sleeping bag for my niece.

I am praying... for our new Bishop.

Around the house... It is very quiet since it is so late.

One of my favorite things...Soaking in a bath.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Car service, Tom's check up, shopping for the bathroom renovation.

A simple Womens Daybook.

For today... 14th April 2009.

Outside my window... it is another beautiful autumn day.

I am thinking... about all the things I want to get done in the holidays.

From the learning rooms... I am preparing for next term.

I am thankful for... Easter. I am also thankful that Steve and I have been able to get to Mass today and yesterday.

From the kitchen... we are getting ready for our big cook this weekend.

I am wearing... 3/4 denim pants, a white tshirt and my favourite slip on sandals.

I am reading... The screwtape letters.

I am hoping... our renovations will be good.

I am creating... a sleeping bag for my niece.

I am praying... for a cure for diabetes.

Around the house... Steve is getting the laundry ready to change into the bathroom, I am organising the home school/family room, the children are sleeping in since it is the holidays.

One of my favorite things... ice chocolate from the Arid lands cafe.

A few plans for the rest of the week...finish Tom and Amelia's curriculum, clean out the storeroom, cook our main meals.

Outside my window... the day has just started. It is still dark.

I am thinking... about today and what needs to be done before we go to Port Pirie.

From the learning rooms... we will be learning about the different oils blessed at the Chrism mass.

I am thankful for... a good nights sleep last night.

From the kitchen...I am preparing for a big cook this weekend.

I am wearing... my nightie still.

I am reading... The Screwtape letters.

I am hoping... the children all enjoy the trip to Port Pirie today.

I am creating... Tom's shirt and a clutter free kitchen.

I am hearing... Steve has put on the Drew Mariani Show.

Around the house... the children are all sleeping still, there is lots of washing to fold and put away.

One of my favorite things... a quiet morning.

A simple Womens Daybook.



FOR TODAY March 3rd, 2009...

Outside my window...it has been cloudy all day. We even had some rain earlier. The clouds are starting to lift now though.

I am thinking...It is March already. I went to write February when I wrote todays date.

I am thankful for...Mass this morning. I am hoping to take the children every day during lent.

From the learning rooms...We are continuing on with our Lenten program.

From the kitchen...Chicken snitzel's tonight for tea. YUM.

I am wearing...A tan blouse, 3/4 denim pants, socks and runners.

I am creating...The plan for our end room.

I am going...no where special this week.

I am reading...Nourishing Traditions still.

I am hoping...that our car repairs will not be too much.

I am hearing...Steve is playing Command and Conquer.

Around the house...The younger children and Daniel are in bed, Madeline and Brigette are doing their homework and I am on the computer.

One of my favorite things...chocolate.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Pick up the car tomorrow. Keep on with our Lenten program and have a fun family long weekend.

A simple Womens Daybook.

Pop over to Peggy's for other simple womens day books.

Outside my window... the sun has set and the day is now over.

I am thinking... about the program I will do with Tom and Amelia for lent.

From the learning rooms... we are preparing for the new liturgical season.

I am thankful for... panadol. Earlier tonight I had an awful headache. I took some panadol and had a shower and it seems to have subsided a lot.

From the kitchen... we still have lots of pumpkins. Tomorrow being ash Wednesday will be meatless and Friday too. I think we will have fried rice (without any meat) tomorrow night and pumpkin pasties on Friday night.

I am wearing... my nightie and brunch coat.

I am reading... Nourishing Traditions.

I am hoping... to teach Tom and Amelia a lot this lent about sacrifice and penance.

I am creating... a floor plan for our end room and new bathroom.

I am hearing... the clicking of the computer keys as I type. Christopher keeps calling out from his bed too.

Around the house... I am cleaning out cupboards and getting rid of junk.

One of my favorite things... is enjoying the quiet evenings with Steve once the younger children have gone to bed. tonight there isn't even any older children around. Daniel is out at a friends and Sam, Madeline and Brigette have gone to bed earlier than they usually do.

A few plans for the rest of the week... The boys pajamas, less time on computer, praying the rosary every morning and cooking some snacks with the pumpkins.

A simple Womens Daybook.

Outside my window... the sun has set. I haven't ever done the daybook before at night.

I am thinking... about all the things we need to catch up on from Tom being in hospital.

From the learning rooms... we haven't done very much this week. Tomorrow will be catch up day.

I am thankful for... the doctors that help me in managing Tom and all his other care providers too.

From the kitchen... tomorrow I will do some baking. I think we will make some more pumpkin scones and pumpkin bread.

I am wearing... three quarter denim pants and a pink, blue and white t shirt.

I am reading... Nourishing traditions. It looks great.

I am hoping... to see Tom's dietitian this week.

I am creating... the boys pajamas. They still are not finished but I hope to finish them this week.

I am hearing... the children playing in the girls room.

Around the house... the routine has gone out the window so the children are up way too late.

One of my favorite things... getting up and enjoying the quiet in the morning before the rest of the family wakes.

A few plans for the rest of the week... home school, a girls night on Saturday night. The boys are headed over to Whyalla to see the monster trucks so we will get a chick flick and have some take away.

Outside my window...the day is starting to cool down. We will still have temps over 100 for the rest of the week.

I am thinking...about our home school program and how the new schedule is going. It is going pretty well I think considering the heat we have had.

I am thankful for...Our air conditioner.

From the learning rooms...Our new school year has started well.

From the kitchen...we are having spaghetti chicken for tea tonight. I cooked it this morning.

I am wearing...my new tan floral dress

I am creating...a stuffed snake for Christopher for his birthday.

I am going...out chauffeuring our family a lot this week.

I am reading...lots of great blogs.

I am hoping...to keep up with Tom's bsl diary this week.

I am hearing...Steve spraying the fly spray, Sam playing guitar hero and Madeline coughing.

Around the house...no one wants to clean up from our day.

One of my favorite things...Nescafe Vanilla latte.

A few plans for the rest of the week: school, swimming pool, hopefully getting our little car back on Friday.

Outside my window...It is already getting hot. Heading to 43 (107) today.

I am thinking...about taking the children to the pool at some stage today.

I am thankful for...18 years of marriage and a loving husband.

From the learning rooms...school starts this week so getting all our curriculum ready.

From the kitchen...I need to get the cooktop fixed.

I am wearing...my favourite purple nightie.

I am creating...a new daily routine.

I am going...food shopping, to the high school and the pool.

I am reading...Newsflash by Teresa Tomeo.

I am hoping...that Tom and Amelia have a great time on the One and All.

I am hearing...The television.

Around the house...The children are all getting ready for their day.

One of my favorite things...meeting other mum's online and reading their blogs.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Start home school, go to Adelaide, sew some more shorts for Tom and Christopher.

Outside my window...the sun has risen. Another beautiful summer day here.

I am thinking...about what we will do today.

I am thankful for...Tom's pump arriving and the good management we have with it (usually).

From the learning rooms...I am making plans for 2009 curriculum.

From the kitchen...still cooking with zucchini's and pumpkins.

I am wearing...my pajamas.

I am creating...Tom and Christopher's pajamas.

I am going...to see if I can get the children in the vac swim program.

I am reading...Chicken soup still.

I am hoping...to get to Adelaide soon and see my sister and her new baby.

I am hearing...silence. No noise here yet today.

Around the house...the children are sleeping. Daniel had some friends stay over last night and I think it will be noisy here when they wake up.

One of my favorite things...my morning coffee.

The Simple Womens Daybook.

Peggy is on holidays but I still wanted to post a Simple Women's daybook today.

FOR TODAY 30 December, 2008...

Outside my window...The sun has risen. It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day.

I am thinking...about all I want to do today.

I am thankful for...the abundant vegetables coming from our garden.

From the learning rooms...we are enjoying the holidays but I am starting to plan next years curriculum.

From the kitchen...lots of cooking to do today. We have a huge pile of zucchinis and I am going to bake, Zucchini Quiche, Pineapple Zucchini Bread and Zucchini Slice

I am wearing...my pajamas still.

I am creating...Tom and Christopher are getting a lot of new summer clothes. I will be sewing a lot in the next few days. I am also hoping to get a dress made for me to wear to church.

I am going...shopping. I have been given a bit of Christmas money so will be spending that.

I am reading...Audrey.

I am hoping...Tom's pump will arrive early this morning.

I am hearing...Tom playing Mario Galaxy.

Around the house...The other children are sleeping in.

One of my favorite things...Tom's pump. I have learnt how much I appreciate it while he hasn't had one.

A few plans for the rest of the week: The cooking, sewing and not going out much.

This is the fabric and pattern Brigette chose for a dress she wants. She has also cut out a bolero jacket to go over it. The dress she should be able to do but she will probably need help with the bolero.

Outside my window...It is dark. The days end has come all to quickly.

I am thinking...about all the preparations I need to do for Christmas.

I am thankful for...The school holidays and a chance to spend more time with the school children.

From the kitchen...I am preparing for Christmas so lots of goodies.

I am wearing...grey pants and a white T Shirt.

I am creating...Christmas dresses for the girls and Christmas shirts for the younger boys.

I am going...to see Tom's endocrinologist next week.

I am reading...Chicken Soup for a Mothers soul.

I am hoping...that we can work out the right insulin dose for Tom soon.

I am hearing...My children chatting in the kitchen.

Around the house...The teenagers are chatting. The little ones are hungry. Do they ever get full?

One of my favorite things...waking up early and sitting in the quiet morning.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Finish the girls dresses. Finish of the Christmas cooking. Getting ready for Tom's Endocrinologist appointment.

FOR TODAY Nov 25 2008...

Outside my window...The rain is coming down. It is nice to have a good rain.

I am thinking...about my day and what we have planned.

I am thankful for... good health and Tom's doctors support from Adelaide.

From the learning rooms...we are starting to finish many things off. Only three weeks of school left for the year.

From the kitchen...I have prepared our monthly meals for the month and will do some muffins today too.
I am wearing...my blue leggings and a beige blouse.

I am creating...Amelia's dress and some shorts for the younger boys.

I am going...to the pool this afternoon probably.

I am reading...Audrey.

I am hoping...the weather will get a bit warmer soon.

I am hearing...Daniel preparing his breakfast.

Around the house...most of the children are still sleeping and need to get up soon.

One of my favorite things...lying in bed and listening to the rain.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Finish of Tom and Christopher's shorts and start Madeline's graduation dress.
