A year of Pumping.

Last Wednesday it was a year since Tom started his insulin pump. We love his pump and it has improved his control a lot.

Last week in honour of Wold Diabetes Day, Michele posted a link to the organisation Life For a Child which is a group that supports children that don't have access to basic diabetes care.

In the western world, we are so blessed to have insulin, injections, pumps and Glucose monitors that diabetes can be managed very well. Children in other countries don't have insulin or anything at their disposal and if they do they don't have the money to pay for it. I am going to look into supporting this and make sure none of the money is going to ESCR.

I was also happy to see that the Vatican supported World Diabetes Day

I remember! Has it really been that long? God bless him.

It is unbelievable isn't it Allison? I often wonder where the year has gone too.

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
