New Template.

I have wanted a change for the look here since getting rid of the triple template. I really love the triple column template but don't want a slow loading blog. I think that was the cause of the slow load while I had it.

I am going to try a couple of different looks over the next few weeks.

Since I can't have the triple column, I am looking for something with the sidebar on the left side but I want the posts to be wider. I am thinking a third for the sidebar and two thirds for the posts.

All the templates with blogger seem to be smaller in the posting area though.

If you have any tips or ideas for making the template look better, leave a comment.

If it is slow to load, please also let me know.

Therese

It is very frustrating to change templates with Blogger (in my opinion). You are so right, Therese, the post field is very small. If you write a good, meaty post....readers will have to keep scrolling to read it! Very frustrating! You can contact blogger or post a "help" question in their forums and there is usually someone who responds with some programming experience and they can kind of "tweek" your template. You could try that!
I'm still not satisfied with my background/template. The way I see it...I'll be changing it for LENT anyway...so I just may leave what I have for now.
Hope you are doing well! I can't wait to see that baby!!!!
By the way...I have something for you! I found it when I went shopping the day after Christmas!
Would you be willing to email me your physical address so I can get that mailed off! I'm not sure how long it will take to get there!
Blessings to you,
Nancy

mine is similar to yours. It is clean and tidy and easy to read but I like everyone elses' better...lol. I am not sure which ones people have but so many others seem so much bigger and prettier to me.

I love the new look, its much easier to read, or easier on my eyes? Checkout Lindows live Writer. It's wonderful for blogging, enlarging fonts etc. Bloggig in full screen is so much nicer!

The layout is fine but the lavender background actually hurts my eyes (even though it is a lovely color.)

Grey, white, or beige might be better.

Minima Template is the easiest to manipulate/jack. There are tons of links of bloggers who give free directions, so you do not need to grab a prefab template from someone outside of Blogger, who have their own "fingerprints" all over your blog - aka+slower download time!

Go with the tutorials; some links below:

http://tricks-for-new-bloggers.blogspot.com/
http://hoctrointro.blogspot.com/
http://www.bloggerbuster.com/2008/04/complete-list-of-blogger-tutorials.html

just type into google the thing you want to learn to do; e.g.:
how to my minima blog into 3 columns

whatever...

there's a lot on the web for you to customize your blog yourself.

God Bless!

sorry, can;t advise - as I am fumbling around myself. I will be keeping an eye on your post in case someone else knows.

Since I had a break from posting I have forgotten just about everything. I want to change my template - I can't even find where to go - lol

I like the blue better than the lavender. It may be too bright though on big screens.

Like the new template - it was a bit slow to load:)

I really love this pink Ms. Moto and have managed to make it wider.

I am noticing though that the margins are loading wider first and then the main body is coming big. Is this loading slow for any of you?

Also, a friend let me know that she wasn't able to leave a comment. Has anyone else had a problem leaving a comment?

Obviously you cannot leave a message so email me

Thanks
