Time for a change.

A couple of people had trouble opening my blog yesterday so I am going to do some changes to it.

I am going to look into what slows page loads down and try and make the page a bit quicker to load. I know it frustrates me when I cannot load pages or they take a long time to load.

So if you know what kind of things slow down the page load, please let me know in the comment box.

I have removed a heap of gadgets and made the blog two columns rather than three. I do prefer the 3 column template. What do you all think?

Wow! Normally I click on your blog and go get a cup of coffee & it MIGHT be up when I'm back, the outer column & headder would load, then after a minute or 2 the body....this loaded quickly.Or MUCH quicker. THANK YOU! How is Tom?

Therese, I like the 3-column template, however, I already have so many things on my sidebar that would be a real pain to replicate (like the blogroll), so I stick to the 2-column. I feel it's just a matter of preference. My sidebar isn't that long anyway; I don't do ads and I try to remove the "old" and bring in the "new" ... change is good sometimes ... maybe TRY the two-column and see how you like it.

Always love hearing from you when you visit.

Hope you are feeling good and ready for your baby!

Love,
Abbey

Of course, the simplest thing to do is clean up widgets. I removed tons of my widgets...

I've never had a problem with your blog and you don't appear to be "over-widgeted". I have one blog I go to that I dread opening it (versus reading in my reader.) It's so overloaded, it actually sends my computer into "unresposive" mode and freezes me up.

I had dial-up, so your blog always loaded slowly for me, or not all. I can already see the difference. :)Yahhhh!

Glad all is well with Tom.
I like your new layout.
I have quite a few blog spot blogs that I can't get onto anymore. When I looked it up, all I could find was something about gadgets, but I have also found that most of them are 3 columns.

Mahalo for doing that Therese. It loaded much easier. I have an old computer and it is slower than most.
