I love being a Catholic. We have saints for everything.
I was looking at my sitemeter and someone had came to my site by googling patron saint of sewing.
I went to the google page to see what it had and it tells me that St. Seraphina, St. Catherine of Alexandria and St. Parasceva are the patrons of sewing. Now I know who to ask for prayers when I have a difficult project.
All about Therese, Steve, Daniel and Angelique, Sam and Jess, Madeline and Daniel, Brigette and Adriano, Tom, Amelia and Ryan, Christopher and Joseph. Come on in and share a cup of coffee and see what is happening in our lives.

on a different note, and not to sidetrack your post, this reminded me of our friend, who is a protestant, and he was a pastor until he retired.
he came over for a short visit the other day, and he was talking to us about the "rapture" and so on. we usually let him speak, but we also do as well. i was thinking while he was talking to us, how they do not posess the fullness of truth, and how empty their faith is. we have a rich faith as Catholics, we have the fullness of truth and grace. we have tradition, and passed down to us by Christ Himself. then i was thinking to myself, this poor man, he loves Jesus so much! i felt bad for him because he seems to be missing out on the fullness of truth! that saddens me, but am glad that he loves Jesus as much as he does! he truly is a wonderful and most charitable human being, one of the most i have ever come across!
he delivers food hampers at almost 80 years of age for the desperately poor. he helps the poor out financially. he is a wonderful person, but he is missing out on so much fullness of truth and tradition! i wish he was a Catholic!
I will pray for him to have the fullness of truth Marilena.
What a sweet old man (same age as me.lol) It's wonderful that he does all these "good works" yet he doesn't know he could offer those works in reparation for his sins, other sinners and/or the Souls in Purgatory.
I, too will pray for him that he will come to know the richness of the Catholic Faith.
then i was thinking to myself, this poor man, he loves Jesus so much!
He does have everything when he has Jesus!! What more can be added to God? Nothing because He is all you'll ever need!!

Hi Mrs. LB.
So you think you only need Jesus? Does this mean that you believe that nothing else is necessary for salvation?
I'd like to comment that Catholics aren't adding anything to God. We recognize and choose to participate in all the gifts and resources that God has given to us through Jesus His Son.
God allows us to enjoy the depth of His Kingdom which consists of many more benefits than what I had as an Evangelical.
We know that Jesus is the source of our Church, our Sacraments, and all the fullness of Truth that we enjoy.
