Thankful Thursday.

Once a fortnight on Thursday we get paid and I pay all our bills for the fortnight. Going over all our bills and expenses today I realized how blessed we are in the western world.

I never have to worry about when we will be able to eat,
I never have to worry about not having clothes or shelter.
I know that we can provide well for all our children's needs.
We even have left over for extras and have been able to spend a lot of money on renovations and regular holidays.
We have good health care and can get help with any need from Tom's diabetes to any flu that one of us may get.
I know I am loved by Steve and the children.

I am thankful for the lifestyle we have and realize that many people are not nearly as blessed as we are.

Thank you Lord for looking after all our needs and giving us extra blessings too.

Therese

Amen! We, too, are blessed with all of our physical needs and enriched with an abundance of spiritual needs. Lord we ask for your continued Blessings and always for the virtue of humility in our thankful acceptance. Great post, Therese! Thank You!

Therese,

It is truly the simple things in life that give us the most abundant blessings! Have a great day!

I'm so thankful that you are thankful. I wonder just how many of us truly stop and wonder at the awesomeness of God's very abundant blessings. God bless you, Therese, and your "wee" family.

I totally agree Therese!
If only we all acknowledged how blessed we are with what we have and thanked God everyday.
Sometimes people never know what they've had till it's gone.

iam glad you have everything. for us though, its a different story, my medication is 3000 $ a year, and when you can't afford healthcare coverage because the premiums are too high, it makes life very difficult indeed. even with frank's pay raise its a struggle to buy it. this medication keeps me alive. so, for those that have everything, i am very happy for you. :) but for those of us who don't, we have pretty big crosses to bear.

We thank and praise the Lord in all things - not only when all is going well but even in times of trials because it's in his praises that things can change for us. It wonderful to thank God for all our blessings.

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
