Followers.

A couple of days ago Sr. Mary Martha left a comment on my blog.

I told my husband and he said well you better drop her a line and ask her to comment all the time because it gives your ego a big boost.

Then today Jackie commented on the amount of followers I have. I knew that I did have 27 followers but I thought other bloggers had many more. I was surprised looking around at the different widgets how many followers other bloggers have so my ego got another boost this week.

So thanks to all the people that have signed up to be a follower. If there are others out there reading my blog, click on the widget to let me know and follow along with my blog. I have put all the blogs I have in google reader in my following list. Google update your dashboard whenever the blogs you are following are updated. I read updates at my dashboard and in google reader. I really like the way google have put it all together and knowing who is following along reading my blog.

this is a question i have about 'followers'. what is the point, or rather, the difference in being a 'follower of a blog' or just keeping a 'blogroll'. i mean I consider myself a follower of many blogs, but don't use the widget. i guess i just don't see the point. my blogroll lets me know when blogs i like to visit have posted something new. this to me, saves me time ;)

anyway, therese, i too, am one of your followers even though i'm not included on your widget! LOL

Thanks Shelly. How did you put the blogs in your sidebar to let you know when they have been updated? I have seen that at a couple of blogs but didn't know how the heck to get it on my blog.

I like having the blogs I follow updates on my dashboard and seeing what they have written about.

Go to LAYOUT, then ADD A GADGET, then click the first option BLOG LIST.

This allows you to see how long it's been since last post.

Wow, you do have a lot of followers, the number rises every time I visit. You must be a very special person. You don't realise how many visit until you group them all together.

Have a great day

Sister Mary Martha has been making the rounds leaving comments on all our blogs. Her blog is up for a Blogger's Choice award and if you go to her blog, you can click on her link to place tour vote for her blog.

I have only a few blogs I am following via the widget thing, but I read all the blogs on my blogroll. I haven't bothered to place the follower widget on my sidebar but the few select blogs I am following via my dashboard are both a reciprocal favour and ones I really like! At any rate, the blogs on my blogroll are equally good, or I wouldn't be reading them.

Thanks, Therese! I didn't know this existed. I've added this to my blog now too. :-)
