Soccer starts in Port Augusta.

Tonight we had the first round of soccer at Central Oval. Tom and Amelia are our two players this year.

They are playing every Friday night for the next 9 weeks and then in first term next year.

The team Tom and Amelia played won hands down but Tom was goalie for the first half and stopped many goals. He also got a goal in the second half but the referee said no goal because the goalie from the other team had his hand on the ball. Oh well. The season is young and they have plenty of more games to go. I will take some photos at some stage and post them.

My girls both played soccer but didn't relish getting eaten up by the mosquitoes. Do you have that same problem in your neck of the woods?

I have missed your visits at my blog, come and see me sometime.

Hello Therese,

My son too played soccer on Friday night at Central oval. He is in under 14's and plays for the Stirling Strikers Gold team. Their team won their first game and my son scored two goals, I was so proud and so was he. He was playing Aussie rules but decided to give soccer a go instead and loves it. This is his first year and I am amazed at how well he plays.

Are Tom and Amelia on the same team together or different teams and who do they play for?

We may see you there one Friday.

Hey Tania,

Tom and Amelia play for the Eagles. They are on the same team. They played Strikers blue. Strikers seem to be a very good team. I think they were last year too.

Tom is interested in playing footy and will probably join south's next year. Our eldest also plays for Souths.

It would be great to meet at one of the games.

Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
