hot hot hot.

Today has been one of the hottest days I can remember. I don't remember feeling the heat like I did today ever before.

We took the children to the pool and then stopped at Hungry Jacks for tea rather than come home and heat up the house more with cooking.

The rest of the week is going to be just as hot. We were suppose to be going on the One and All ship this Friday but it has been canceled due to the extreme heat.

Anyone have some snow to send me?

i pray that God gives you a bit of relief from the intense heat. myself, iam not a heat lover. never have been, but i can say that i do like a warm sunny day of about 22 degrees. anything hotter is unbearable. alberta can hit 35 degrees, and i suppose for you, thats about right? for us, its screaming hot. lol. the thing i don't like about alberta summers is that they last and last and last, the heat can last for up to 2 months at a time, we get forest fires, low water levels. and so on. we get nice springs, but that unfortunately does not last long! summer runs right on the heels of spring. hot hot hot. i can still picture myself sitting on a nice beach somewhere, 22 degrees, no clouds, and sipping ice cold shirley temples! now that is sweet!

I have some snow and ice!! We had snow yesterday morning, and they didn't cancel school. Lots of accidents and even at least 4 buses that I know of that got stuck in a ditch. Got some freezing rain last night. No school today! So I'm sittin' here with my snuggly, laptop, and coffee, enjoying the quiet morning until the kids get up. Maybe you could send some sunshine our way?! :)

Yes, we have ice in Maryland. Come put some in your tea! I'll pull up a good meal for you and we can bundle up and play in the ice with all our kids.

It's pretty cold here, and we are hunkering down with warm soups and stews in the crockpot... homemade fresh bread... and lots of hot tea!

Hope you get some relief during your heat wave!
