quick 7.

Pop over to Jennifer's for more quick 7

1.

The heat wave continues here. We have been to the pool early for the past 4 days. It is a great way to start the day. The temps are going to be 42 for the next week at least.

2.

I love our air conditioner. It has been on from early in the morning till we go to bed at night. Our house is comfortable with it.

3.

I noticed that Faith and Family have started a new weekly meme called small successes. There are lots of these meme's doing the rounds and it makes it easier to blog.

4.

I will be starting the 5mart Martha Monday again next week since our holidays are over.

5.

Does anyone else have a problem with their boys rooms? My eldest keeps his room tidy but my other boys are a whole nother matter. It seems to me that everytime I get their room organised they manage to mess it in a couple of days. Today I am going to go in to Tom's and Christopher's room and tell them how to clean. I won't do anything except tell them where to put things. Maybe that will help.

6.

We still have lots of pumpkins. I have made pumpkin bread, pumpkin pies and even pumpkin icecream. Any other ideas what to do with pumpkins?

7.

One of our chickens keeps getting out of their cage. She got out and went and laid a heap of eggs in our shed. We now have 10 baby chicks running around the back yard with mum. They were eating from our vege garden so Steve caught mum and cut her wings. We put the babies in with mum but they keep squeezing through the fence and then chirping for her. She cannot get out so I hope they have the sense to go back in.

I know you probably don't appreciate it - but I must say that little chicks running around the backyard does sound very cute - especially when its someone else's yard.

Stay cool. Drink plenty of water. Save your extra pennies for when that electricity bill comes in - its going to be a shocker! lol

Our electric bill for summer is pretty good. We have an evaporative air conditioner. It costs less than a ceiling fan to run (so I was told by the electrician that put it in anyway) and we have always had it running most of the day.

We live in the tropics of North Queensland and we should be the hottest place in Australia right now... but we have had rain, rain, rain all week. Our air cons have had a chance to rest ;)

Our electricity bills are a shocker up here, especially if you run a clothes dryer as well. I nearly died our first summer up here (last year), and not just because of the scorching, smoothering heat... the bill was also humungous.

Enjoyed your quick takes.

as for your pumpkins, send them all over here please:) hee hee hee:) pearl, i'd do anything to see rain! i hate snow! seen too much of it! if we got rain, it means that spring is coming, so yeah, i'll take your rain any day in exchange for the minus temps we have had, plus tons of snow! :)

Going to the pool sounds heavenly! I long for Summer once again. We have had a frigid winter in the Midwest, and it seems like it has only just begun! Have a great weekend!!

Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
