Social Networks.

Through blogger I have meet many wonderful people. I have also started to meet a lot more on Twitter and connect with old friends on Facebook

It has been great. Last night I was even able to chat online with Marco I really enjoyed our chat Marco.

It also got me thinking. Wouldn't it be great to have an instant chat online with a group on a regular basis. There are chat rooms that I have been a part of but I have never looked into starting one on my own. I thought it would be great to connect with other Christian mothers and talk about life in general. We could pray together, chat together and even do a bible study or something.

So does anyone have any bright ideas of how this kind of thing could happen?

I am chewing on your idea and how it might be done. We used to go into yahoo private chat areas for work -- that was 2 or 3 years ago.
Now we have our own websites with a team members area. It is very streamlined for us that way (but expensive).

I added you to my NEWLY CREATED! twitter account. I do not know the etiquette there -- am I supposed to ask first or notify people?

I have no idea if it'll be a social networking tool that I can use but I am always trying to learn about better ways to keep in touch and communicate.

Let me know if you have any advice. Looks pretty straightforward.

Blessings!

Paggy,

I don't think there is any etiquette about following on twitter. People just start following. W

When I joined up it came up with a list of people that were in my contacts and asked me if I wanted to follow them.

I need to ask my teenage children about the chat idea. My children are always on msn with instant messenger and I think there is a way to set up a group chat there.

I'm on Facebook now as well and enjoying connecting with old friends. Haven't checked out Twitter yet.

I will say that I love the idea of connecting in a scheduled chat. Maybe that's why I've loved sitting in on some of Cindy Rushton's online events. You can type chat while the speaker is talking. But, it's not quite the same as what you're envisioning.

Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research.
