Lost pump.

Tonight Tom's pump broke at the tube going in his leg. He didn't realize and we have no idea where it is. Because it is dark outside, we cannot see it.

Please pray that we find it soon. I will have to give him insulin every 4 hours while it is missing.

Update: We have decided to give him some background insulin to get through the night. Hopefully we will be able to find the pump tomorrow before the background insulin wears off.

Friday update:

We can hear it beeping in our lounge room. Just cannot work out yet where it is coming from.

Thanks Jennifer.

We have decided to wait till daylight to look for it. It is way to dark and because it is a black pump there is no way we are going to find it tonight. Hopefully tomorrow morning we will see it at first sun.

Oh my goodness! Therese, I use Medtronic Minimed for my pump needs. They are wonderful and will not hesitate to send you a loaner pump via overnight mail. I don't know if this is your supplier, but, please call who you use and ask them to expedite you a loaner. Tell them the old one broke and you can't find it just yet, but when you do, you'll send it back to them. Obviously, there was something wrong with the pump if it broke off so easily. There is no charge for this service. Good luck. I'll keep Tom in my prayers!

Prayers to St Anthony. He is pretty powerful in these situations.

Wow. I hope all ends well. Diabetes is quite a challenge. My company here in the US (second job) helps sponsor a Diabetes Walk for the Cure every year. We're right there with you.

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
