Who's taken the sun?

I think I want to leave Australia for the next three months. It is so cold here in the mornings and it seems like days since I have seen the sun.

I need to make myself a winter jacket. I have some great corduroy fabric and a nice brushed cotton for lining. I just have to find the perfect pattern.

I have always disliked the cold. The children keep on talking about going to the snow. I don't know if I could bear the cold there.

You are more than welcome to come here for the next 3 months...that would of course mean being here when the baby arrives! ;)

I prefer the cooler weather especially when mixed with a bit of rain, but then I have a nice log fire to keep me warm. It has been on for days now.

I like the sunshine too and look forward to that when it returns. Have been wanting to get back into walking but the weather hasn't been really inpiring lately I'm afraid.

Thanks for sharing the communion photos Therese, they are lovely.

Just look back at your posts during the hot dry summer and perhaps you'll change your mind. And your welcome to come to our house for the next three months - it's HOT here right now.

I'm like Tania, I like the cool and the rain. I also like the warm and the rain.

Hi Therese,
It is nice and warm at our place, even on the cold winter mornings. My husband has managed to keep the fire burning, even with a broken finger.

I also have a thick cord jacket that I wear in the school room, as it is up the other end of the house from the fire.

Today was a beautiful day, in the sunshine in the car, travelling to Orroroo.

Have a wonderful week.
Blessings,
Jillian

I always do a double-take when talking/writing to my AU/NZ friends. We're sweltering here in North Carolina!

Perhaps we could do a house-swap during the worst of winter IF one of us decided we loved the cold?

Naw.

Ain't gonna happen.

Im glad to see we in South Africa are not the only ones without sun! We've had 2 weeks of cold cloud cast and drizzling rain! But I have to admit I far enjoy winter over the summer...you can always cuddle and getwarm in winter!

I forget that our seasons are opposite here! It is so hot right now in my part of the world that I don't go outside unless I have to.

I will switch, I will switch houses! I can't stand the hot and humid weather we are having (and it's not as hot as other places in the US).

thanks gm but I think I will pass. I don't like the cold but I hate humid hot weather.

Our hot weather isn't that humid thank goodness.
