The Cross and Icon are here.

Today at 4pm the Cross and Icon that have been traveling around the world arrived in Port Augusta.

We had a handing over ceremony. There were youth present from Darwin Diocese that handed it over the the Port Augusta youth and then we had a procession around Port Augusta and stopped at several spots and reflected on different stations of the cross. It was great to walk with the Cross and Icon and let all of the town know about WYD.

The procession ended at Caritas College and there was a bbq tea and different entertainers. Daniel's band Absoulute Zero played and did a great job. This was their first public appearance.

Tomorrow morning there is going to be Reconciliation, Mass and a breakfast at the church. We have heaps of photo's so if I get a chance I will put some up tomorrow.

You can read about the Cross and Icon here.

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
