Madeline starts at a new school today.

Over the last three years Madeline has had a lot of problems at school. There has been some bullying and some excluding that has just made her unhappy.

This year has been the hardest so far and some of the girls have been really nasty. I have thought about homeschooling her again but it really isn't an option with Tom getting his new pump, me relearning how to manage his diabetes and homeschooling him once he gets it. After speaking with her about it we asked her if she wanted to try another school for the last few months this year.

She did want to so she has started at our local public school around the corner today. If you could all keep her in your prayers and pray for Steve and I too. Over the next 7 weeks we need to make some decisions about our other children's education next year.

Thanks
Therese

I will pray!

Sometimes the excluding happens in homeschooling. That is mostly thoughtless (no one trying to mean), or another parent thinking you as a parent isn't up to par, but I doubt you would have that situation!

I have to admit I hated school. I actually learnt more once I left the confines of school.

The bullying these days is getting out of control. I will pray for Madeline it can be quite wounding.

Therese, I have also placed some links about what it takes to become a size ZERO. I watched it on Satellite TV last week. Put aside at least half an hour and check it out. It IS worth it.

Let me know what you think? If you have the time hon.

Peace to you & your family:)

Praying for Madeline, and for your family, Therese. Bullying was part of the reason why I decided to homeschool. It's not the answer for everyone, and I'm sure you will be making educational decisions for each child based on their individual needs.

Thanks Dawn.

Her first day went really well. She is really enthusiastic and I don't think I have seen her so happy for such a long time.

Oh your poor daughter. Kids can be so mean but especially now with all the bullying in person and in cyberspace. I will be praying for her.

Please pray for a cure for Type One Diabetes
Our sons Tom and Christopher and our daughter Amelia are type one diabetics. We pray everyday for a cure. We do not want one by illicit means though so don't support any organisation that contributes to Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Click on the photo of Tom and Christopher to read about why I am against using Embryonic Stem cells for a cure.
