Yesterday was 8 years since Tom was diagnosed with diabetes.
I think I will just link back to the post I did last year, rather than report all that happened at that time here.
Click here to read all about Tom's diagnosis and what life is like living with diabetes.
We are praying everyday for a cure for diabetes. Dr Faustman has done a lot of research looking for a cure. Since she doesn't research with embryonic stem cells, we support her research.
All about Therese, Steve, Daniel and Angelique, Sam and Jess, Madeline and Daniel, Brigette and Adriano, Tom, Amelia and Ryan, Christopher and Joseph. Come on in and share a cup of coffee and see what is happening in our lives.

Hi Therese,
Wow, eight years is a long time, constantly living with Tom's diabetes. I'll be praying for a cure for type 1 diabetes, too, if you would like me to?
Hi HSM4C,
Your prayers are most appreciated. We do want a cure as long as it isn't from embryonic stem cells. Killing a baby to give someone a cure is so wrong.
I think because abortion is so accepted in our society, many people don't recognise the fertilized egg as a real person with real rights.
Bless your family!!! I have gestational diabetes and dealing with this as an adult for a very limited time is quite enough for me. I can imagine how difficult it must be for a child and mother to face a lifetime! I hope and pray for a cure and you are absolutely right that the cure needs to be found in a moral way!
I also continue to pray and you know my story! Have a grand day! Cathy
Keeping Tom in my prayers. :)
Have you seen the Oprah video where a Dr. on her show said the cure for Parkinson disease (and likely diabetes) is not going to be from embryonic stem cells, but from adult ones? I posted it on my blog
